Ball State University students will return to campus for classes in August. Classes will begin August 24 on the Muncie campus. Rivera-Mills says Ball State is planning more online classes than usual for high-risk faculty and students who may not want to return to campus.

The plan outlines the policies, protocols and guidelines that the university will follow as the fall semester commences. Listed below are the new policies and changes the plan will implement. On-campus, in-person classes will begin on their scheduled date, August 24, but will move to remote learning for the remainder of the semester after Thanksgiving break, according to the plan.
Facility is to prepare all classes with flexibility and adaptability to potentially return to online instruction sooner based on the conditions on campus and in the community.
